Wallpaper is the image which shows up on the background of your desktop. By default when you install windows it comes with a default wallpaper but you can always change it according to your own tastes. You can do as said in the following steps,

Step 1:

Click on any empty area on desktop where no icon is there. And the following window will pop up. Go for “Properties”.

Step 2:

After clicking on the “properties”, the following window will pop up. On the above you will see a many options, click on the “Desktop” as shown in the following screenshot.

Step 3:

You can see a list there named “Background”. If you do now want any picture to be set as your wallpaper then click on “None” there. Otherwise click on “Browse” to select the image you want to choose. Another window to choose the picture will open up, browse to the location where the picture is stored and click on “open”. You can see the preview of the picture there itself. If you like it then click “Ok”, otherwise again browse for another one.

In Windows XP there is another direct way to select the wallpaper. Just open the picture in explore you want to select as a wallpaper. And “Right Click” on it. You will see an option “Set as Desktop Background” as shown in the picture. And the wallpaper will be changed automatically.

So now whenever you are bored of your desktop wallpaper just follow the above steps to change it.
