How to Understand the Yorkshire Terrier Puppy

The Yorkshire Terrier, often referred to as Yorkie, has an appearance of being alert and inquisitive with all his surroundings with his ears standing up the majority of time. He may be small, but he acts just as tough as a large grizzly bear. He has plenty of energy and is very brave while on adventures.

Training your Yorkshire Terrier Puppy

The Yorkshire Terrier is pretty stubborn when it comes to training. You must be strict, consistent, and of course gentle at the same time. You must not allow the Yorkie to believe he is in control as he can become very jealous of others and you may have a grandchild snapped if not trained while young.

The Yorkshire Terrier puppy will need his long coat brushed daily. If you do decide to clip his hair it will still need brushed weekly. As well as taking hair of their coat, their teeth will need to be cleaned by your vet on a regular basis, as they are prone to teeth problems.
