How to Understand the Dachshund Puppy

Living Environment for your Dachshund Puppy

The Dachshund puppy is perfect for apartments and will remain active. However, a small yard will give them plenty of room to chase leaves or other objects that may be in the yard. They do better in a family with older children.

Training your Dachshund Puppy

As the Dachshund puppy can be quite stubborn and loves being in charge, it is important to train them while they are young. If you allow them to in control, you will soon find they can become quite destructive when you leave them alone such as chewing furniture or anything else they desire.

Grooming your Dachshund puppy

According to the type of Dachshund puppy you have in your home, you will need a variety of grooming techniques. The wire-haired will need to visit a groomer at least twice per year, the shorthaired only needs to be cleaned with a damp cloth, and the longhaired will need their hair brushed daily.
