Training fro your Dalmatian puppy should begin early so he can learn to be sociable with your family and others. The training should be firm and consistent. He is a bit high strung so he needs a firm but gentle trainer.
Grooming your Dalmatian puppy
Your Dalmatian puppy will shed his hair twice per year, however, if you brush him at least once per week it will help with the shedding. The Dalmatian is a clean dog and does not need given a bath except when he plays in a mud puddle.

Diet: Your Dalmatian puppy should be fed 2 cups of high-grade puppy food per day divided up into three or four meals. Be sure that the food you choose is 22% crude protein, fiber content of 4% or less, and crude fat at 20% or less. As your puppy turns into an adult, he should eat between 3 and 6 cups of adult dog food per day divided into two meals.
Exercise: The Dalmatian needs lots of running type exercise. He should be allowed to run in the back yard without a leash to ensure he stays healthy.
Health issues: Dalmatians puppies are prone to deafness. Other health issues include urinary stones and skin allergies.
