Firewall is the component installed in your system which keeps you isolated from the dangerous outer world. Yes, nowadays threats to your system are increasing exponentially. Windows Firewall keeps you protected against one certain type of malware called “worms” which spreads over Internet from computer to computer. It acts as a barrier between your computer and any other computer outside. So it is always recommended to keep it on. Follow these steps to switch on your Windows Firewall.
Step 1:
First of all open the “Control Panel” from “start” menu.
Step 2:
As you can see in the above screenshot there is one option “Security Center”, click on it. The following window will pop up,
Step 3:
You can see “Firewall” option there. If nearby that “NOT MONITORED” is there then it means your computers Firewall has been disabled by any means. So you have to enable it again. Go for the next step to do so.
Step 4:
Just below it you will find a button named “Recommendations…”, click on it. The following window will open up. You will find a button “Enable” just next to the written text “Turn on Windows Firewall for all network connections”. Click on it. And another window saying “Windows Firewall was successfully turned on” will pop up. It means your firewall has been turned on. Click on “Close”.
And you are done. Now Windows Firewall will keep your System protected against all the possible threats.
