How to Save Streaming Video Using Real Media Player

With Real Media Player 11, it is very easy to record any streaming video you watch online. It can be in any format except the protected ones of DRM. Many streaming videos are not recorded that way. Just take one simple example, YouTube, where you can easily save all the video files. Just follow these easy steps to do so.

Step 1:

First of all install the new Real Media Player 11 on your System. And while installing don’t forget to switch on “Downloading and Recording” option. If you don’t, then after installing it, open Real Media Player and click on “Tools” on the top Menu Bar and go for “Preferences..” as shown in the screenshot. The following window will pop up.

Step 2:

In the left side Panel, you will see an option “Download and Recording”, click on it. On the right hand side area the following options will show up.


Step 3:

You will see an option for “Enable web Downloading and Recording”, check it in. and press “Ok”. Real Player “Downloading and Recording” plug-in will be added automatically to your browser.

Step 4:

Now open your browser and go to the YouTube. Select the video you want to watch. When it opens up in the browser, just above the embedded player you will see a little pop-up saying “Download this Video”. Click on it.

Step 5:

When you do so, the following window will show up and you can see that downloading of the file is going. Just wait for some time, and the video will be downloaded and saved to your hard drive.
