How to Configure Hotmail in Microsoft Outlook

Hotmail is the most popular online-based email platform and whilst many people prefer to access it direct on the Hotmail site, some others, particularly, organizations, may prefer to use an offline client such as Microsoft’s Outlook to import messages. Since both are products of Microsoft, the integration is pretty straightforward.

Follow the steps below to integrate the two.

Step 1:

Start Outlook, Go to the ‘Tools’ Menu on the top and select ‘Account Settings’.

Step 2:

In the Account Setting Manager. Click ‘new’ button under ‘E-mail’ tab.

Step 3:

Now you can provide the information of your email account. Put your name, E-mail address and password in thier respective fields.

Step 4:

Now the outlook will try to connect to hotmail and the settings will be saved for future access. Press Finish to close the window. Your account has been configured.
