<p><strong>Step 2:</strong></p>
<p>Sand the surface of the tiles with a fine sand paper to roughen it a bit.</p>

<p><strong>Step 3:</strong></p>
<p>Clean the tile again with water and TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) solution. Rinse with water again and let it dry for 48 hours.</p>

<p><strong>Step 4:</strong></p>
<p>Using a low nap roller apply a coat of primer on the tile surface. Do the edges with a paint brush and let it dry.  Similarly apply the second coat of primer and let it dry overnight.</p>

<p><strong>Step 5:</strong></p>
<p>Use an oil based paint or one having Urethane resin content. Apply it evenly using a paint brush. Apply another thin layer using a roller.</p>

<p><strong>Step 6:</strong></p>
<p>Let it dry completely and repeat the same for the second coat.</p>

<p><strong>Step 7:</strong></p>
<p>The grout can be painted with a contrast color using an artist brush. It will take 2 weeks for the paint to completely dry and cure.</p>

<p>Your painted tile is ready.</p>

<p>Similarly place other tiles and check their level to ensure they are even and in line with each other with use of tile spacers in between tiles.</p>

<p>Grout the tiles when dry using a matching colored grout.</p>
