How to Become a Teacher - Real Example

Being a teacher is more than a job, it is a passion. Shirley Huffman is an excellent example for any aspiring teacher. Although her teaching experience is limited to only nine months, it seems that she has really made a difference in her students. Shirley has always wanted to be a teacher, but life events have stopped her from following her dream. At 21, she entered college, but she become a mother and has to quit. After a couple of years, Shirley tried to get back to her goals, got a small job at the local grocery, for supporting her college education.

Soon, Shirley learned that continuing her college education at the Lincoln Memorial University is too expensive for her family’s medium income. The chance helped her once again, when she was offered financial support from WIA, an organization supporting aspiring teachers. In 2006, Shirley Huffman graduated college, and after just two months, she was handled a classroom of blooming minds, just as she always dreamed of.
