When John Stewart graduated from UC Berkeley, he planned in working for the family business, in the petrochemical field. Sometimes, we have to do things just because you need to, not because you want to. John’s dream was to attend the law school, but at the moment, he had to support the family business.
A dramatic event changed the course of John’s life, when his father passed away. John Steward realized how precious time is, and how important is for him was to pursuit his dream. Therefore, supported by his wife, left the family business and tried to work in the law field, first as a document coder at a local law firm, then as a file clerk. His goals though were higher and the next step was the SF State Paralegal Studies Program. It took five long years for John to graduate with honours, while working for supporting his family. Nevertheless, his struggle paid off, as John works now as a paralegal for the prestigious firm Jackson Lewis LLP.
