Someone said that becoming a nurse it’s something that you need to be born with, not learn. Serina knew she wanted to help people ever since she was growing up. Serina started thinking about becoming a nurse when she saw her grandmother fight breast cancer for about two years and nurses taking care of her all the time. Slowly, the desire of becoming a nurse started to grow inside her, but it seemed that life had other plans for her.
After going through a violent and restraining relationship, Serina finally found a supportive husband that would allow her to go back to school. It was wonderful to have the chance to pursuit her dream of building a career as a nurse. On the other hand, she learned that becoming a nurse is not that easy, especially if you have a demanding job. Summer classes, nights spent to catch up with courses and lots of stress have never made Serina quit her dream.
Today, she works as a nurse and one year after she started working as a nurse she was nominated for best nurse in her county. Serina it’s a true inspiration for anyone who wants to achieve their goals.
